COMUNICATO STAMPA: Initially associated to the figure of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and his ”Manifesto del Futurismo”, “LEFT-LEFT-RIGHT! ...” is conceived as an alternative scenario for celebrating the latter’s 100 anniversary of the movement in February 2009. We refer our Russian-Italian connection to the visit of Marinetti to Russian Futurists in 1914 and to the consequences of their interpretation. Historically, there is obviously no other literary school but Futurism that would be considered inconsistently in terms of its perception by both left and right winging, progressive and conservative people of XX century would flag its principles for the new concepts of time, creativity and civilization. Futurists would break codes, they could see clearly the signs of the beginning of a new era, due to the developement of technology and its consequences on society. Through their aesthetic they diffused concepts that appear like obvious nowadays, right after a century. For instance, the importance of speed moved from the context of mechanical machines to the one of data on the web; the war still move all the economy, despite the existence of possibilities of alternative energy different from oil. We can say under a certain point of view, maybe not at all, we live in their prophecy. All these intuitions have been differently interpreted in the society. Not alike in Italy, the futuristic project in Soviet Russia has been significantly understood as ideologically hundred percent leftist project and perceived as instrument to create new ways of life and art, highlighted by Majakovski in no other but revolutionary mode of thinking, practicing, inventing, etc.
